Trainee Business Manager Industrial Placement
Job Purpose

•To work alongside the restaurant management team in order to ensure the efficient running of the restaurant in accordance with Company policies and guidelines
Principle Responsibilities

•Completes personal training in accordance with Management Development Programme
•Performs tasks required to raise the restaurant’s standards of Q S & C
•Can recognise the visual characteristics of good quality products and takes action to achieve and maintain standards
•Supervises acceptance and recording of deliveries
•Always presents him/herself to customers and fellow employees in such a manner as to be an asset and a credit to McDonald’s and him/herself
•Participates in the orientation and training of Staff Members
•Helps Staff Members to become competent in the various areas by completing Observations Checklists
•Helps to refine operational abilities of Staff Members, by use of On-Job-Training techniques and by corrective coaching
•Organises and directs Staff Members on stations in their area
•Positioning Staff
•Restaurant security
•Floor control
•Calibration checks
•Restaurant cleanliness
•Customer Service
•Performs basic paperwork, enters hourly readings, enters daily inventory, closes and opens cash sheets, pulls and checks registers
•Can take charge of the shift in the temporary absence of a salaried manager
Relationships

•The Management team in executing their responsibilities in the operation of the Restaurant
•Developing and directing the staff members in the area for which they have responsibility
•Other managers within the restaurant, in passing on pertinent information relevant to the operation of the restaurant
•All levels of restaurant personnel in order to help maintain a well organised and cohesive team effort towards the same QS&C goals
Knowledge and Experience

•Demonstrate enthusiasm for customer engagement
•Currently studying for a business related degree (preferably within a Hospitality or Management bias)
•Fast learner and team player
•Good inter-personal communication skills
•Flexible attitude and ability to use initiative
•Detail focused
